Description
Skull Corvid Resin Base.
Sculpted in Monster Clay, then moulded in silicone and cast in impact resistant rotocast polyurethane resin this is the idea base for a monstrous Cosplay, a creepy crow or raven fursuit headed skully or for any number of other uses. Unlike more toony costume skulls, this base has been sculpted to have a fine bone texture across its surface which can be made to look very realistic with the correct painting techniques and has to be seen in real life to be appreciated.
It can be provided raw where you have to do all the trimming, sanding and post production work, as featured in the first photos. Or you can pay extra to have it mounted, hinged and ready to be painted, furred and/or decorated. With a zip up the back of the head for easy, flexible wearing for different sizes.
This head base was originally sculpted on a Monster Makers Ed Head with a crown of 57cm or 22.5″, but is sculpted to give space for a padding a foam to go between the wearer and it so it has space for larger heads. Smaller heads can be accommodated by building extra foam on the inside of the resin.
As with all products, this can be ordered as stand alone commission as well, custom painted or as a full finished head through the commission request form so you don’t have to do any of the work yourself.
[Warning] As with all hand made products, slight variations in the castings from the moulds are to be expected. If bought as a fully DIY product, there will likely be some amount of sanding, cutting, trimming and filling to finish the mask in order to use it. Of course, the trade off is the exquisite detail held by the surface sculpt that cannot be replicated with a 3D printer.
